Valentine's Day Inspiration With Ocean Views in Trinidad & Tobago

I think most wedding professionals could agree that its been quite challenging to get out and shoot creative projects over the past few months. It’s as though our creativity just went silent and decided to take a vacation. So when wedding photographer Adatto Studios reached out to us to work on something special for this year, we knew we had to get those creative juices going again and get back to what we love the most – making magic to inspire you lovebirds!

In collaboration with some of the best wedding professionals in Trinidad & Tobago, we designed and executed a breathtaking Valentine’s Day inspired shoot for all the romantics in love with all things…love. THE INSPIRATION

We knew that our theme was going to be love inspired to get couples ready for Valentine’s Day, but we wanted it to be a little different and include a colour scheme that popped in an untapped location. If you’ve ever been to Rock Back in Chaguaramas, it is incredibly sweet and romantic. The ocean views are so lovely, its nice and windy and so comfortable to just sit back and relax with your loved ones, so we knew that this venue would be perfect for this shoot, and we were 100% right!

THE COLOUR SCHEME

We decided to go with a beautiful vibrant red and complement it with baby pink in both the florals and the linens. Red is such a statement colour in decor, so we knew we had to tone it down a little bit and decided to use baby pink instead of ivory or white for this shoot. The end result was pretty spectacular and the florals by Abfab Events were amazing!

THE VENUE

We chose Rock Back and The Anchorage because the ocean views are so beautiful. Both venues are right next to each other and are easily accessible for couples interested in getting married in the North West part of Trinidad & Tobago. Rock Back is quiet, rustic, intimate and perfect for couples looking for a setting that is unique and impactful. We love this spot and cannot recommend it enough to beautiful brides-to-be.

THE DECOR

Pink and red floral arch for the ceremony with the beautiful ocean as the backdrop… gorgeous pink and red linens with divine glassware and dinnerware… modern acrylic chairs and of course an acrylic sweetheart table to match! What’s not to love?

HAIR & MAKEUP

The beauty is always an essential part of the process as well. We always try to inspire couples with looks that they can hit save on for their special day and even re-create if they truly fall in love. We collaborated with Arry from The MUA House for the makeup, and knew that her red lip vision for our model was going to be a BIG hit, and it truly was. The makeup looked so pretty on Katherina and worked perfectly for the theme.

For the hairstyle, we decided to do a loose curl down style to match the dress and it came out exactly as we envisioned. Though it was quite windy that day, it turned out to be lovely as it showcased a free flowing, beautiful bride-to-be. Special thank you to Joanne George for her magic on that day!

FINAL THOUGHTS

As “micro-weddings” and intimate events are definitely popular right now due to the pandemic, choosing a simple yet elegant wedding dress is such a nice idea for your wedding day. VAR Bridal Boutique provided our dress for this shoot, and they have so many lovely pieces that you can definitely check out on their website.

For the veil and accessories, VdV Accessories was our #1 choice! Darcel’s work is incredible and all of her veils, hair combs, bandeau’s, bracelets, etc. always look so stunning and luxurious on our couples.
