Two Matching Grooms For Their Tropical Destination Wedding At Royalton Riviera Cancun

We are beyond excited to share our feature of the week with you sweethearts today! We have been scrolling through these photographs for weeks, and knew that today would have been the perfect time to share this inspiration with you all.

Jeffrey and Randy had the time of their lives on their wedding day, and you can just feel the love and joy from every single photograph captured perfectly by Quetzal Wedding Photo. We had such a challenging time choosing just a few images to showcase, as the full album was just out of this world gorgeous, but we think we did a good job in featuring the essence of the couple’s amazing destination wedding.

FROM THE COUPLE:

HOW THEY MET

We are both of Puerto Rican decent. Jeffrey grew up outside of Philadelphia, PA and I grew up outside of Atlantic City, NJ. We currently live in North Brunswick, NJ. We met while attending Temple University in 2007.

THE WISH LIST

We wanted our guests to have a wonderful time. We wanted everything to feel natural and organic. We wanted beautiful weather and a day full of family and fun. We also wanted intimate moments and to spend some time soaking in everything after months of planning.

THE WEDDING VENUE

A year before the wedding we visited the Royalton Riviera Cancun resort after researching dozens of wedding venues in Mexico, Dominican Republic, and Costa Rica. A wedding coordinator from the resort gave us a tour of the entire resort including the various wedding venues on site. As soon as we walked off of the elevator and down the long path toward the sky terrace we looked at each other and said, “this is it.” Upon leaving the resort, we reached out to the wedding coordinator at Royalton to book the venue.

THE FASHION

We both decided to wear nearly identical attire! Both of us wore navy Cubavera linen suits, a white linen dress shirt, and bow ties. We decided to have bow ties and boutonnieres that were not identical but complemented each other. I wore brown Johnston and Murphy Oxford shoes, while Jeffrey wore brown Kenneth Cole loafers. Both of us chose David Yurman Streamline series rings.

SPECIAL REQUESTS

We were most excited about the fireworks near the end of the reception. This was one of the only wedding details that both we and our photographers knew about.
