Hey there loves! Happy Monday 🙂 As we draw closer to the end of Summer, we wanted to come in with a cute little number from Mexico. We know how much you guys love a good love story, but how do you feel about fate and chance encounters? hmm?
Alex & Ed met their senior year of college at a call center and immediately hit it off! After not seeing each other for a month, they finally met up again and the rest is history as they say. Their destination wedding was filled with vibrant colours, a gorgeous sunset and sweet surprises that their guests truly enjoyed.
If you’re at lunch and ready for a little dose of destination wedding love, then we got you covered love. Keep scrolling for more… 😉
FROM THE WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER:
Alex & Ed met at work and hit it off immediately. After 6 years of adventures and learning from each other, they tied the knot with a Tropical Beach Wedding at Secrets Playa Mujeres Resort & Spa in Cancun, Mexico.
After their emotional first look, we met all guests at the beach for their tropical destination wedding. We walked around the modern property for a few bride and groom portraits and got ready for the fun part of the day, a colorful and super fun wedding reception filled with surprises like a Tequila Toast, Beer Pong Games, Bride & Groom Piñatas and other games!
FROM THE BRIDE & GROOM:
We met senior year of college – we both worked in a call center. I had recently started working there and one day Ed was assigned to train me. I think we worked together for about 4 hours and we just made jokes and laughed the entire time! It was love and best friendship at first sight – I have never had so much fun with someone I just met.
When it was time for Ed to leave for the day I didn’t ask for his number and he didn’t ask for mine. It was a large call center without set shifts (employees could come in and work whenever they felt like it from 8am to 9pm Monday through Friday) and there was no employee directory that we had access to so we were both kind of lost from one another knowing only each other’s first names.
I spent the next several weeks trying to track him down (my strategy was walk the entire building and look into every single cubicle until I saw him). It took about a month but eventually I “ran into him” casually during a shift again. Dating was very interesting because we are literally polar opposites but I’ve never had more fun with any other person. We have been together for six years in January and we spent quite a lot of time learning one another. It has been nothing short of an adventure.
