FROM THE PHOTOGRAPHER:
Bianca and Ryan are world-travelers with a passion for seeing new things (he proposed in Amsterdam!), so when it came time to plan their wedding, a destination wedding was a no-brainer. When I asked her why she was so drawn to planning a wedding outside of the US, she told me, “Ryan and I love to travel, so a destination wedding felt perfect for us. We wanted to bring our family and friends on an adventure and weekend we hope they’ll never forget. Some of our guests had never even left the country, so it was pretty cool to help get some of our loved ones out of their comfort zones and come away with us to Mexico”.
They decided on the picturesque Dreams Playa Mujeres Resort, and held their ceremony on a rooftop terrace overlooking the ocean. Their reception was held on the beach under the stars, with the sound of the waves accompanying the music for their first dance. They decided to play up the tropical theme of the day, but also kept the details and color scheme neutral to ensure it would be a classic style for years to come.
I asked Bianca what her favourite design detail of the day was, and she said, ” Personally, I loved everything about our wedding. It was perfect, but I definitely had a lot of fun playing up the tropical theme and our neutral colour scheme. I was able to incorporate a lot of our same tropical print from our invitations to small details of the wedding, such as napkins, ceremony cards, table numbers, and our welcome bags”. Bianca and Ryan both said that their favorite part of their wedding was how intimate it was, and how they were able to spend the entire weekend with the ones they love in celebration of their union.
Thank you to Bianca & Ryan for sharing their precious destination wedding in Mexico with us!
