Well hello there lovely people! How are you darlings doing on this lovely Wedding Wednesday?
In honour of the launch of ADRIANA (Issue IV) coming out next week FRIDAY! *eep* we’ve been gracing your feed with a few of our favourite features from our past Issues, and we are truly having such a blast reminiscing on these gorgeous destination weddings. From The Bahamas and Barbados to Mexico and Trinidad & Tobago, we have featured so many sweet couples who have decided to get married in this gorgeous part of the world, and they are all so stunning! Right?
Today, we have decided to take you to the Turks & Caicos. Yes loves, TURKS & CAICOS. One of the most breathtaking countries in the world, and so dreamy for any type of event, especially your luxury destination wedding or elopement. Our dear couple Olga & Pasha knew that the Turks & Caicos was for them after their very first visit. The beaches were just too outstanding of course, and the villas were everything that they had imaged and so much more. So check out this darling feature as seen in ADRIANA (Issue III).
FROM THE COUPLE:
THE MEETING
We met at school. He was friends with my twin brother and didn’t know that I was his sister until he realised that we had the same last name 🙂
THE PROPOSAL
I had a feeling it was going to happen, but was completely surprised when it finally did. He popped the question on the beach at sunset in Florida with a drone in the air.
NUMBER OF GUESTS
Since it was a destination wedding, we chose to keep the number quite small. We chose to only have 20 guests.
THE DECOR
We had a very high end, chic destination wedding. It was all white and we imported a lot of flowers.
THE FONDEST MEMORIES
Wife: Looking at my husband, while standing at the altar with the beautiful ocean in front of us was definitely one of my favourite moments.
Husband: The first glimpse of her walking down the aisle toward me.
THE WEDDING DRESS
Both of my dresses were custom made by Galia Lahav. They took nine months to make both dresses. The first one was a laced long sleeve princess gown for the ceremony, and for the reception, I chose a blush lace mermaid gown with a long train.
ANY SPECIAL SURPRISES?
Yes, we had a professional dancer who taught us an amazing dance to a very special song.
THE WEDDING CAKE
We wanted a 7 tier cake, since 7 is my lucky number. It had cascading fresh flowers and three different flavours.
THE WEDDING PLANNING
My amazing wedding planner was Teresa Brunner from Tropical DMC. She helped with every single part of my destination wedding.
THE WEDDING VENUE
My husband wanted to have our wedding on the beach and only in the Turks and Caicos. We visited the island prior and fell in love with the most spectacular beaches. We also wanted to have it at a private villa with no guests but ours. The villa we chose was exactly what we dreamed of and more. Triton Luxury Villa stands alone on the beautiful Long Bay beach of TCI. It is brand new and extraordinary. It looks just like a resort, with all white modern decor, front and back pools and seven bedrooms.
THE WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY
Jon Nickson was absolutely great and a pleasure to work with! I saw his work on his website and loved his style.
ANY ADVICE FOR NEWLY-ENGAGED COUPLES
Don’t panic. Don’t stress. Destination weddings can be a bit stressful, but it all falls into place on your special day. It feels like there is never enough time to get everything planned and done, but eventually it all works out. It did for me, and I am so happy that I chose Triton Luxury Villa and the Turks and Caicos.
Thank you to Olga & Pasha for sharing their luxurious destination wedding with us!
