Happy Christmas week lovebirds! How are you on this amazing day? We are so delighted to be sharing this gorgeous beach wedding from the Cayman Islands with you today. We’re in full Christmas mode at the moment, and are still calming down from the launch of our first publication – ADRIANA. It has been such an eventful couple of months here at the Adriana Weddings office, and what better way to continue the festivities than with one of the most simple yet stunning weddings we have ever laid our eyes on.
Read on for more from our darling couple Ramsay and Mitch:

“We met through mutual friends. My co-worker actually, who helped me get to Atlanta from Houston, is now engaged to one of Ramsay’s best friends, Cydney. She had a summer party in July 2016, which we were both at. Having mentioned to Cydney that I was interested in meeting Ramsay, we were quickly introduced upon my arrival to the party. We went on our first date the following weekend.”

Ramsay:
“Mitch flew into a hurricane to get my ring! He was originally going to propose in Houston, Texas but due to Hurricane Harvey, his plans changed. After a 24 hour trip to Houston to pick up my ring, Mitch landed in Atlanta and suggested a fun Sunday date night. We had a bucket list to say ‘Cya Atlanta’ and the Jackson Street bride was on the top of our list. You can take outstanding photos of the Atlanta skyline and a great homage to Atlanta!
After dinner, we went to go take photos. After about 10 minutes, I was ready to leave but Mitch was still trying to get just the right photo. I remember hugging him and I could feel his heart racing. He finally said, the lighting is perfect and asked a bystander to take our photo. During our photo session, Mitch turned to me, said the most beautiful things about our love for each other and got down on one knee. It was the best yes I’ve ever said!”
Mitch:
“Ramsay put it perfectly! Plan A didn’t work out due to mother nature, but fortunately Plan B worked out beautifully…and she said “Yes!”. Flying into an incoming hurricane is nothing compared to what I’d do for her!”

“We had zero guests, aside from the staff and onlookers at the Ritz who we didn’t know. We wanted something small and very intimate…it’s about us, not about trying to corral hundreds of people based on a pre-defined schedule. The day was perfect. It was all about us, which was what we wanted.”

“I wanted simple, classic and eloquent to match the beach setting. I love simplicity in all white flowers and I know I’ll look back in 10 years knowing I made the right choice!”

WHAT IS YOUR FONDEST MEMORY?
Ramsay:
“When Pastor Whittaker announced us as Mr. and Mrs. Curry! Nothing made me happier than knowing that I was officially Mitch’s wife!”
Mitch:
“Aside from staring deep into Ramsay’s eyes as we exchanged our vows, I’d have to say our prayer beforehand, where we met and locked hands, but didn’t get to see each other to spoil the dress reveal when she’d later walk down the aisle. Oh, the sky and sunset weren’t too shabby either!”

“My mom and I went to a small boutique in Atlanta. Unfortunately, my sister-in-law couldn’t make it but we Face Timed her. It was about the third dress I tried on and we all knew it was the one! I attempted to try on others, but we knew that nothing would compare.”

“The sunset was the biggest surprise! About an hour before the ceremony, it looked as though it was going to rain, but Mother Nature held off and gave us the most gorgeous sunset instead!”

“My mom gave me a handkerchief that was given to her as a wedding gift, and my grandmothers pin that I wrapped around my bouquet were my special heirloom pieces for my wedding day!”

“I surprised Mitch and went non-traditional with a chocolate and peanut butter cake – his favorite. And hands down, it was the BEST cake we’ve ever had!!”

“We stayed at the Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman for our wedding AND honeymoon. It was perfect!”

ANY ADVICE FOR NEWLY-ENGAGED COUPLES?
Ramsay:
“Don’t be afraid to be different! I still wore my dream dress and had a bouquet. I still saw the way Mitch looked at me when he first saw me and we still had a wedding cake but when it came down to it, there was something incredibly special about it being just the two of us. We did it for us, we never lost sight of each other, had nothing to stress over…”
Mitch:
Your marriage is something you should be selfish about. It’s about you. It’s not about satisfying and appeasing your family and friends. It’s a bond shared with the two of you, with God at the center. Make it something you won’t stress over, so that you can remember all of the good that comes with it. Weddings can be so stressful (which is ridiculous), and they shouldn’t be.”

Thank you so much to Chad Munro from Picture this Studios for sharing this beautiful album, and to the lovely couple for sharing their precious love story with us!

Great post.
I absolutely love your blog and find many of your post’s to be exactly what I’m looking for. Would you offer guest writers to write content in your case? I wouldn’t mind producing a post or elaborating on a number of the subjects you write related to here. Cool web log!
