Happy Wedding Wednesday love! It’s such a momentous day in history and if you’re anything like me, you are absolutely beaming today! As I write this, my family and I are glued to our television watching the Inauguration of Joseph R. Biden, Jr.
This day has finally arrived, and to be honest, I am truly emotional and a bit speechless. Can you imagine… the first black female Vice President of the United States of America – Kamala Harris? When she takes office today, little girls from all around the world will know that anything is possible, and for that I am truly grateful.
Anyway, before I start bawling my eyes out from this beautiful moment, let me introduce our precious couple and feature of the week – Eleni and Nick. As the incredible wedding planner, Paradise Wedding & Events said, “every little detail from this couple’s wedding day was special. Starting with the welcome party at the Grand Hyatt Playa, then onto the Greek Orthodox ceremony and finishing off with the amazing reception dancing to traditional Greek Music. It was amazing!”
I am so in love with the floral decor, the gorgeous venue, and the bride’s wedding dress amongst many other things that make this destination wedding fabulous! So take a moment today darling and enjoy this beautiful wedding in Villa La Joya in Playa del Carmen, Mexico.

FROM THE WEDDING PLANNER:
Bride to be Eleni and Nick visited Mexico with both their moms and decided that Playa del Carmen was the best choice for their destination wedding.
They held their beautiful wedding at the private and elegant Villa la Joya. Eleni got ready with her mother and bridesmaids at a nearby Condo, where they were being beautified by the professional makeup artist, Sara Tamargo. Meanwhile, Nick and his boys got ready at the Presidential Suite in the Grand Hyatt.
The Greek Orthodox Ceremony was held at the elegant entrance of Villa la Joya. We decorated the aisle with a white runner filled with baby breath flowers and candles from the sides. During the ceremony, there were a lot of traditional rituals of the Greek wedding ceremony, such as the candles with white ribbons and the guests were offered koufeta sugar coated almonds.
After the ceremony, there was the Cocktail hour in the amazing garden. The priest gave the blessings before the dinner started and Chef Gourmet Soberanis served a delicious 4 course Luxury plated menu.
The reception was on the terrace at Villa la Joya around the pool with the best ocean view. The guests and the couple took photos at the statement photo wall. Besides that, they enjoyed the amazingly decorated extravagant sweets table by Lluvia de Azucar. Let’s not forget about the surprise fireworks for the groom that the bride organized secretly. Perfect romantic moment for both of them.
The couple brought their Greek DJ (and with the support of the Team of Plugin audiovisuals) all guests enjoyed the night dancing. Another fun, symbolic way to congratulate the couple on their new marriage was the Greek Wedding Dollar Dance.
We are so grateful and happy to share Eleni and Nick their special Greek Wedding, beautifully captured by the amazing Greek photographer Goerge Kossieris.
