Hello beauties! We know we’ve been quiet for a bit, but after all the Bridal Fashion week excitement, we decided to hop over to the picturesque state of Vermont for a mini vaca. If you’ve never visited Vermont in Fall, we promise you that you are missing out!!! The Autumn foliage is a true sight to behold, and one that we always wanted to experience, so it was so fantastic that we finally got an opportunity to make it happen this year.
However, the destination wedding fun must go on, and though we are freezing our tails off in Burlington, Vermont, today’s destination wedding from Mexico is definitely warming us right up with its crystal blue waters and sunny skies.
Our feature of the week was captured perfectly by Jess Leigh Photographer at the gorgeous Grand Fiesta Americana Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. We love all there is to love about this darling wedding, so keep on reading for more from our bride Melissa…
FROM THE BRIDE:
HOW & WHERE DID YOU TWO MEET?
Brock was good friends with my best friend/ MOH Nathalie in college and she introduced us when I went to visit her!
HOW WAS THE PROPOSAL?
He proposed at the same resort we were married at on the gazebo. There were fireworks going off in the distance over the city and tiki torches lighting the boardwalk up to the gazebo.
WHAT DECOR THEME DID YOU CHOOSE & WHY?
I chose a tropical, green, blush and gold theme it seemed timeless and refreshing.
WHAT ARE YOUR FONDEST MEMORIES FROM THE SPECIAL DAY?
The best memories are hearing Brock’s personalized vows and saying mine as well, seeing and spending time with all of our family and friends who came from so far to be with us. Also sharing our kiss on the dancefloor with the fireworks.
WHAT MADE YOU SAY “YES” TO THE DRESS?
I was looking at ‘Made with Love’ dresses from the beginning. I didn’t know what style would look good on my body type but there was something magical about the Harlie dress. It’s beading reminded me of sea shells in a bit of an understated art deco way which I loved.
WHAT VENUE DID YOU CHOOSE & WHY?
After we got engaged at the Grand Fiesta Americana, we saw a wedding that took place at the beach club and it was gorgeous. It made sense for us to have a destination wedding since we had family all over Canada and I couldn’t have dreamed of a more accommodating professional staff/ wedding coordinator.
ANY ADVICE FOR COUPLES?
Don’t wait until the last minute to start planning the small details, i.e. personalized touches, gifts. Also, take some time with your partner the day of, after the ceremony just to reflect and enjoy the moment. It is very fleeting.
Thank you so much to the darling couple and to Jess Leigh Photographer for sharing this beautiful wedding with us!
