Mismatched bridesmaid dresses, a luxurious villa and an amazing firework send off are just a few of our favourite things, and this glorious destination wedding has them all! *omg*
The details from Melanie & Brett’s intimate affair in Mexico make our hearts sing! They knew the “cookie cutter” style just wasn’t the right fit for their wedding day, and as such decided to design the perfect day with their own unique elements surrounded by their family and friends.
So keep reading sweethearts, because this out of the box wedding is just the beginning of what’s to come for our amazing 2020 features.

This couple had planned more than “just a wedding”, but an entire vacation for all their guests! They rented the amazing Villa Encanto, where they stayed together and on top of that, they even made a little tourist guide for everyone attending with lots of insights on activities and places to go eat.
Often when someone has a destination wedding in Mexico, it’s a resort wedding that is kind of a “one size fits all” ordeal. Not for these two! With help from a local planner, they created a unique wedding with such a lovely tropical vibe.
The bridesmaids donned beautiful flower crowns, that just like the other flower arrangements were created on the morning of the wedding to stay fresh. They had mix and matched dresses, that fit in a similar colour palette.
Unique about the ceremony setup was the aisle on the side, which created a more intimate feel for the guests that could all sit closer to the couple.
After the ceremony, the two of them chose to do some portraits in the streets, giving them a unique vibe with tropical plants and local architecture.
The reception, that started just after sunset was lit by string lights – extra romantic! After the cutting of the cake and heart felt speeches (and a wonderful meal!), the two of them walked to their dance floor through a tunnel of sparklers.
And to top it all off, fireworks at the end!
