Happy Wedding Wednesday guys! As we write this post, we are currently waiting to board our flight to head on off to California for a few days of meetings and of course fun! It is Carnival week here in sweet Trinidad & Tobago, so there are thousands of visitors flying in for all of the festivities, but we decided to sit this one out for a bit of rest and relaxation. For all those who are heading to our home country for Carnival, we hope you have the BEST time, and to all of you lovebirds who didn’t get a chance to make it this year, no need to fear lovies, you can definitely start planning from now for 2021!
Anyway darlings, as you know, we couldn’t leave without sharing a special feature with you all, and today’s elopement is certainly magnificent. As the amazing photographer Amy Bluestar Photography said, “From traveling and exploring the roaming green hills, hiking and navigating the lush mountainsides, snorkelling in the crisp blue waters, beach hopping the golden sands that went on seemingly forever and sipping beers near the ocean tides – every second of our time there was spent basking in true paradise – especially when the time of elopement came at the picturesque and awe-inspiring Mount Carmel waterfall.”
So have a blast checking out our feature of the day, and thank you so much to Amy Bluestar Photography for sharing this thrilling elopement with us!
FROM THE PHOTOGRAPHER:
As a photographer, every once in awhile you come across a couple that stands out amongst the rest of your clientele. They’re love and dedication for one another glows like a radiant light that one can sense the minute they walk into a room. For an entire week, I had the privilege of spending time with this very couple. I came to know a pair of individuals that embody the very definition and essence of love and was allowed to take part in witnessing their partnership come together against the backdrop of sheer paradise in the Caribbean.
Mark and Nicole granted me the privilege of being able to document their adventurous and thrilling wedding in Grenada, a spot randomly-chosen on the map simply because they had never been there before. They are the true embodiment of the thrill-seeking couple, and the destination for their wedding more than fit that bill. Along with the company of their lovely family, I was given the honor of being able to follow Mark and Nicole and document their journey to connubial bliss every step of the way with a wonderful and breathtaking landscape that felt truly lost in time as our setting.
Mark and Nicole are no strangers to adventure and have visited many of the islands in the Bahamas before getting hitched. I cannot testify to their time in the Bahamas, but the week I spent with them in a beach house overlooking the bay in Grenada was nothing short of exhilarating. From traveling and exploring the roaming green hills, hiking and navigating the lush mountainsides, snorkeling in the crisp blue waters, beach hopping the golden sands that went on seemingly forever and sipping beers near the ocean tides – every second of our time there was spent basking in true paradise – especially when the time of elopement came at the picturesque and awe-inspiring Mount Carmel waterfall. As you can see, every frame that was captured reflects the life, beauty, and exhilaration of Grenada and more specifically the smiles, love, and cherished people that were in attendance during Mark and Nicole’s union.
It’s hard to describe a place as beautiful as Grenada and a wedding as wonderful as Mark and Nicole’s. In a lot of ways, it felt like being lost in a wonderful dream and to describe it fully and completely is perhaps near impossible. It was a great location, a wonderful time, and a true privilege to witness two people so head over heels in love that you have a hard time holding back a smile.
A picture is worth a thousand words, and I have a hard time not believing that some of these photos of their time in paradise are worth thousands more…
Thank you to Mark & Nicole for sharing their gorgeous Elopement with us!
