Hey there everyone, and…

So, that extra special heart day has finally arrived, and we’re pretty stoked about it as you could probably imagine, since well, it’s a day all about L O V E! *yay*

In light of this day, we’ve got a little something sweet just for you. Inspired by her creativity and vision for what a romantic after-the-wedding photo shoot could be, Cayman Islands photographer Jenna Leigh Photography set out to create an epic styled shoot to not only swoon over, but to inspire.

From the most affectionate couple and beautiful horses, to the bride’s awe-inspiring Monique Lhuillier dress and setting of our dreams, this shoot was filled with the most loving details that could only be featured on Valentine’s Day.

I had wanted to do a styled shoot with an Equestrian theme for years and it finally all came together!

I knew that I wanted a couple that had already been married to feature as I wanted to show that it’s always a good time to celebrate love, even if your wedding day has already passed. And interestingly enough, this shoot ended up falling near to the date of the couple’s 3rd year wedding anniversary! How perfect was that!

The makeup artist and I wanted to do a creative shoot together that showcased both of our talents and an alternative location for wedding photographs. Although most destination weddings are on the beach, there are still so many fantastic locations if you’re willing to get a little creative, and that’s exactly what we did.

Jackie (our amazing wedding makeup and hair specialist) wanted to create the natural romantic elegance that goes with shooting with horses. So we decided to focus on natural glowing skin, a neutral eye, and a bold lip that also played into the time of day we shot- the golden hour.

Bianca’s gown had such a classic and romantic feel and silhouette that we knew it would look stunning in this location. There’s nothing more beautiful than brides and horses!

Sam’s suit was also the perfect compliment to Bianca’s gown, due to the tailored classic destination wedding suit feel and the light color palette.

The Equestrian Center was so kind enough to allow us to use all of the amazing locations on their land, such as their professional arenas and fields, but most importantly 2 of their coveted horses for the shoot- Loris and Party.

Sam and Bianca both had a wonderful time on the shoot and were so happy with the images, that it made the entire experience so much more enjoyable.

I always try to encourage couples to consider doing a creative shoot/styled bridal shoot after the wedding as it not only allows for more photographs and variety, but often times can be more relaxing and fun than the big day itself.

The couple can have some special time alone while the photographer gets to be free and creative!
