In our Editorial meeting this week, the team sat down to discuss our couples, projects, past features and what’s to come in the next few months. When 2020 began, we had so many grandiose plans and projects laid out, and in the blink of an eye…everything changed. It’s been an emotional rollercoaster for most to say the least, and we’re still trying to piece things together as the days progress.
It has not been an easy time for wedding professionals, venues, and especially couples. We have received countless messages and emails from brides asking for advice on what to do next, and to be honest, our answer has remained consistent …”remain as calm as possible, communicate all details with your wedding planner and your team of wedding professionals, and postpone…do not cancel!”
We know how overwhelming everything is right now, and how stressful things have been. You’ve been wondering if to even have a wedding at all, or just do something small with your immediate family. You’ve been thinking about cancelling flights and changing wedding dates, and some of you have even had to make that decision unfortunately. It’s been challenging. But through it all, you’ve been strong, patient and kind, and that’s all that you can do at this time.
We want you to know that you are not alone. We want you to trust that you are in the best hands, and that everything will work out in the end. We want you to believe that soon everything will be ok and you will have your special day, that you have been dreaming of since you were a little girl. So keep positive love, keep strong and most importantly keep safe.
For our feature of the week, we thought we would add a bit of sunshine to your life with this gorgeous destination wedding in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. The cliffside views from Hyatt Viva are truly out of this world, and the reception at Le Cliff Restaurant was exactly what we needed today to brighten us up!
So keep scrolling for the Kathryn and Josh’s perfect day, and thank you so much to Kristina Karina Photography for sharing this lovely wedding with us.
FROM THE PHOTOGRAPHER:
Kathryn and Josh’s destination wedding weekend in Puerto Vallarta Mexico was filled with festivities surrounded by the gorgeous Mexican views. The wedding day events began with Kathryn and her girls getting ready at the Hyatt Ziva resort followed by the ceremony and reception at the Le Kliff Restaurant.
The cliff top restaurant was an amazing setting for Kathryn and Josh’s exchange of vows and it felt so magical as a flock of birds flew by right at the moment they gave their first. Following the ceremony, the guests dined to ocean views and danced the night away under the venue’s signature thatched roof.
Thank you Kathryn and Josh for sharing their gorgeous destination wedding with us!
