Hey everyone! Please meet today’s sweet couple Faith and Nico! With its cultural blend and joyful atmosphere, this stunning destination wedding in Turks & Caicos is oozing with breathtaking beach wedding inspiration for you lovely brides-to-be. There are so many special moments and favourites of ours from this album, but the absolute best would have to be the first look. The way that Nico embraced the love of his life the moment he saw her, was so heartwarming and touching. So get ready darlings, because our wedding Wednesday feature is sensational!
Faith and Nico, two people from very different cultures, chose to celebrate their big day in the beautiful Turks and Caicos. The wedding was a harmonious blend of both French and Filipino traditions, which only goes to show that they are perfectly made for each other. Their friends and family travelled from many different parts of the world to celebrate such an auspicious occasion at the Shore Club.
The venue was just as grand with manicured lawns and lush vegetation, as well as European and Asian inspired architecture. The familial love was palpable during the entire ceremony, with Faith’s twin sister as her maid of honor and the bridal party all having a roll in the ceremony, including some translating to Nico’s native language, which made the wedding all the more intimate.
The beach-side ceremony was a sight to behold, but nothing could take the attention away from Faith’s simple yet elegant dress, which fit her figure like a glove.
Thea Lowe did a fantastic job with the bride’s hair and makeup to top off the look. After the ceremony by the beach, the party migrated inside the courtyard for the reception where the couple cut the first slice of a traditional French wedding cake, Croquembouche, and shared an unforgettable first dance before opening up the dance floor for a night of celebration.
And our team of professional wedding photographers was there to capture every moment for the couple to look back on lovingly for years to come.
FROM THE COUPLE:
THE MEETING/ PROPOSAL
“We met through Match in 2011. Nico proposed in 2017. We traveled to South Africa, Greece, Bahamas, Aruba and Antigua then but he did not propose. Instead, he did it right at home, in New York Central Park. It was very sweet. We always go back to “our spot” in the park every now and then.”
THE INSPIRATION BEHIND YOUR DAY
“We loved burgundy red and navy blue, so these colors formed the basis for our wedding theme. We infused both Filipino and French elements in the wedding ceremony and reception” says Faith.
“I would give full credit to my twin sister for all the elements – welcome signs, table names, menu cards, invitations and all! We have one unifying principle: navy blue, burgundy red, and simplicity.”
“We had roses and others but flowers did not play a key role in our wedding. We do not invest in things that do not last!”
“We made table names based on our top travel destinations. We have traveled to 25 countries together. We had elements of Filipino wedding traditions in the ceremony (with English and French translations). Our wedding cake was based on French tradition. We loved every part of our wedding!” explains Faith.
“We love simplicity. We wanted the wedding dress to be classic with minimal detail and the groom’s attire to be sharp, elegant but relaxed.”
MOST ANTICIPATED MOMENT
“Every moment meant a lot to us. It was probably the only chance when we can bring our families from France and the Philippines and friends from all over the world together in one occasion” says Faith.
