1. Would you recommend that couples postpone or cancel their 2020 weddings?

This is a difficult situation for everyone, staying healthy and safe should be the main goal for right now. Focus on postponements and rescheduling, rather than cancellations to avoid losing deposits.

As some of the peak dates of the fall are already taken, consider mid-week weddings to secure all the vendors. I believe that the end of this year is going to be very busy…

2. What is your re-schedule or cancellation policy?

A photographer can be only in one place at time. Like the rest of the whole industry, I am trying to be incredibly flexible in supporting my clients who can’t have their upcoming wedding thanks to the COVID-19 situation.

Negotiating new dates is key. I am trying to suggest off-peak and mid-week dates to clients and planners, as we’re all going to get busy at the same time once the season picks up.

3. Can couples apply their previous deposit to a new wedding date?

Yes. I believe this is an exceptional situation the world faces now and I want to be as fair as possible.

4. If a couple planned a destination wedding in 2020, would you recommend they stick with it, or consider 2021 due to travel restrictions, etc?

Nobody knows for sure how things will evolve in a month or two. Research options with your wedding planner – who is probably the most informed person right now – and see what options are most suitable for you and your guests.

5. If you are unavailable for your client's new wedding date, what would you suggest to them? Would you be open to mid-week weddings?

Some of my clients are already rescheduling bookings to mid-week weddings. Right now, that’s the best way to keep the venue and vendors – including me – for their dream wedding all booked together as first imagined.
