We’ve always been huge fans of dining al fresco, but…this wedding takes it to a whole other level. Erin and Robert knew they wanted something soft and romantic for their special day, and so with the direction of their amazing wedding planners Leilani Weddings, they created their perfect intimate destination wedding with gorgeous blush and pink tones at Secrets Puerto Vallarta in Mexico.

FROM THE WEDDING PLANNER:
THE DECOR
Erin + Robert wanted a soft, romantic + elegant wedding aesthetic with a slightly coastal feel. Erin was very specific with the shades of blush + pink used, so we carefully selected just the right hues. We added floral linens with a whimsical feel for a bit of fun + a feminine touch, but balanced it out with dark wood farm tables. Erin + Robert wanted to dine al fresco, so we had a wooden cabana with drapery constructed to create an intimate feel that was romantic + classy all at the same time.
We brought on Cristhian Event to execute all of the florals + rentals, which was so helpful given this was our first wedding in Puerto Vallarta. While the venue provided its own in-house vendors, Erin + Robert were craving a more curated look + feel, so we opted out of the in-house vendors, and sourced Cristhian + his team. They did not disappoint! The work was gorgeous, they were very easy to work with, and hospitable too – welcoming us into Puerto Vallarta + their home with open arms.
ANY SPECIAL SURPRISES
A storm came through on the day of, so we needed to get creative + move the cake cutting inside to the lobby. Luckily their intimate group was able to stay warm inside + the hotel happened to be featuring live musicians that evening so they even had some entertainment! Oftentimes, us planners need to think on our feet, outside of the box, and roll with the punches, and we were definitely put to the test at this wedding.WHY THEY HIRED A WEDDING PLANNER
Erin + Robert wanted an easy + seamless wedding planning process, especially because they were planning a wedding in Mexico from California. I think they appreciated our organization, attention to detail, and thoroughness when it comes to planning every single detail of a wedding day, and they booked us fairly quickly after we had an in-person consultation at our Newport Beach office.
