There are so many charming details about destination weddings in Mexico. From the beginning of Adriana Weddings, we have always encouraged our brides to explore this gorgeous country and not just select the popular venue options, but look into smaller, unique spots that are stunning and could provide the ultimate experience for both them and their guests.
With Villa la Joya, couples receive this extraordinary experience every single time, and as such we cannot recommend it enough to sweet, adventurous couples who would like something a bit more exclusive.
Dinorah & Gerardo loved the elegant and romantic feel of this space, and threw the destination wedding of their dreams on Old Year’s night – how perfect! We know how much you guys live for the cute couples, stunning decor and luxurious venues, and today’s feature includes all of these details. So read on for more from the couple and the amazing wedding planner Paradise Wedding & Events.
FROM THE WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER & COUPLE:
HOW THEY MET
They’ve known each other since the 3rd grade. They dated in high school but took a break and reconnected in their late 20s. The rest is history. Gerardo proposed at the reunion tower in downtown Dallas. Dallas is their home city and the Reunion Tower Restaurant made it perfect back in 2015.
WISH LIST FROM THE COUPLE
They wanted a candle lit romantic feel. Gerardo is actually the one who wanted lots and lots of flowers. Dinorah was very happy he wanted that because she did too.
THE WEDDING VENUE
They chose Villa La Joya because of its grand structure. It seemed perfect for a romantic, elegant backyard wedding that Dinorah and Gerardo always envisioned.
THE WEDDING DRESS
“Maddison from Providence Bridal shop in Rockwall TX did an amazing job in fitting my wedding dress to my body. I wasn’t sure about it because I’m short and it’s a mermaid style but she convinced me” Dinorah, the sweet bride.
FAVOURITE MOMENTS FROM THE COUPLE’S SPECIAL DAY
The fact that it was a NEW YEAR’S WEDDING! Everything was beautiful. At midnight we had fireworks and it was the perfect way to enter 2021. The group of vendors that we worked with on this wedding were also amazing!
Special thanks to Dinorah, Gerardo and Paradise Weddings & Events for sharing this stunning destination wedding with us!
