Based on the details alone, it’s clear that our Adriana Bride Michaela certainly threw the destination wed of her dreams with her loved ones by her side. But amidst the cute stationery and classic bow ties, there was such a fun and meaningful love story behind it and we were so lucky to learn more about this fun loving couple. They planned a day filled with so much warmth and love, respecting their little traditions from back home in Canada, whilst embracing the natural beauty of The Bahamas.

Huge hugs to Michaela & Ryan for sharing their beautiful love story with us! Do Enjoy:

“Ryan and I both had crushes on each other from the first time we met, but we were just friends for months. It wasn’t until he bought me a hot dog from a street vendor after work (we worked together) late one night, that I realized we both liked each other.”

Husband: Favourite Moment

“When we said our vows to each other.”

Wife: Favourite Moment

“When everybody left after the ceremony on the boat, and it was just me, my new husband, and the photographer left to take photos on this stunning beach on a beautiful day. It was a pinch me moment!”

We wanted a very natural theme, no bright colors, just neutral and ocean tones. The location was just so stunning that we wanted everything else to be inspired by the peaceful setting. It was so romantic and perfect!”

“I think my dress was the most beautiful thing I had ever seen, it was completely custom made by hand, the back/train was so pretty. We had a steel band on the beach and that was lovely, too. I loved everything about our reception, from the location, the food, the service, the cake, and the DJ, Sabor is an incredible venue.”

“I would have to say that I created “the one”! I was inspired by an Inbal Dror dress I saw online, and had a seamstress re-create the design, and extend the train. I had a matching cathedral veil created, also. I wanted something one-of-a-kind, so having something custom made was the perfect choice for me.”

The photo of myself and Ryan kissing at the altar is hanging in our bedroom, it’s my favorite photo ever. I just remember how happy I was at that moment, and the backdrop was so breathtaking!”

“Our musical selections were “Traditional Pacheldel Canon” (steel pan duet) for the processional, “Save the Last Dance” (steel pan duet) for the recessional, and “The Wedding Song” by Angus and Julia Stone for our first dance.”

We went to Eleuthera. We wanted to hop to another, more intimate island in the Bahamas, and Eleuthera had everything we were looking for. We found a beautiful cottage tucked away in a cliff, and we spent the best week of our lives there. It was magical!”

“My advice for brides to be would be this:

Don’t get so caught up in the details of the wedding that you forget to enjoy your engagement. It’s such a wonderful time and it flies by, so savour every moment. Also, accept help! Friends and family will want to be part of the process, and you will need lots of hands to help you through the planning process!”
