Hello beauties and welcome to another gorgeous real wedding here on the Blog! Today we take you to beautiful Trinidad and Tobago for a luxurious wedding held at the lovely Hyatt Regency Trinidad. Romantic, rustic and natural was all that the couple wished for, and they definitely created this dreamy concept for their special day. They had “greenery, wood, and natural garden elements” as described by the photographer that truly blew their guests away.
Photographer Jane Decle Photography never ceases to amaze with her exceptional work, and this luxurious wedding is certainly no exception. So if you’re in the mood for some divine rustic inspiration, then check out our feature of the week lovebirds!
FROM THE PHOTOGRAPHER:
HOW THEY MET
The couple are both from and live in Trinidad. The story of how they met is quite unique and it started with the delivery of eggs (true story)! Renee used to teach Christian’s niece and they also knew each other socially. But Christian knew he wanted to get to know Renee a little better so he thought he would send a special delivery to school just for her. Christian has quite a unique hobby of rearing chicken eggs, so he thought what better way to swoon a chick than by gifting her some blue eggs from a very special chicken. His niece delivered the eggs to the teacher’s staff room for Renee. Little did Christian know that Renee did not like eggs (bummer), but certainly the gesture was much appreciated. They chatted a handful of times over the phone and their friendship started to bloom. Their first date was a homemade meal, which Christian cooked. He made French fries from scratch, which is one of her favourite things to eat, and totally impressed her. How Christian really captured Renee’s heart was when she fell ill and he delivered home made soup to her. Renee was assured that she had never met such a thoughtful, caring and loving person and was convinced that she could possibly spend the rest of her life with him. They continued dating and Christian continued cooking amazing meals for Renee, who said that food is not the key to a woman’s heart. On their wedding day, Renee only thought it appropriate to gift Christian with a thoughtful card with 2 chickens getting married on the cover.
THE VENUE & DECOR
Due to the time of year that they chose to have their wedding, an outdoor setting deemed tricky. So they decided to select an indoor venue instead and brought the outdoors in. The Hyatt was the perfect location for their dream wedding. The staff and service worked beyond their expectations and they knew they wanted to work with professional and efficient people on their day. The couple wanted a romantic, rustic, natural feel for their ambience and décor. They wanted elements of the outdoors to encompass the design. The greenery and wood added natural garden elements and the chandeliers and glass hangings added flairs of romance to the rustic.
THE WEDDING DRESS
The bride’s dress was from Ever After, a boutique wedding dress shop in Miami. Renee had a couple of ideas for the perfect dress. She wanted a simple silhouette and nothing too big in size. She decided on the Lilith gown by designer Oscar de la Renta. She felt that the dress was very delicate and simple. It had exquisite details from the deep V neckline and pretty floral embellishments, and she loved the thick stripes on the skirt of the dress. It was a modern styled dress with soft textures. When she put the dress on all she could think was ‘this dress was MADE FOR ME’.
It’s hard to choose a favourite moment from this wedding. Aside from the bride and groom portraits, my favourite moment from the day was when the bride’s dad first saw his daughter. It was such a special, honest moment for the bride and her dad.
Thank you to Renee, Christian and Jane Decle Photography for sharing this gorgeous wedding with us!
