Bridal fashion is such an essential aspect for the bride, and is often photographed so beautifully by wedding photographers from around the world, so we were so excited to see this styled shoot focused specifically on this. Plus, let’s be honest – we are obsessed with the fashion! Who is with us?

I’ve always loved portraiture but not so many weddings. I have, though been more interested in wedding portraits and having the time to photograph stories and editorials that encompass everything that goes into making a wedding so beautiful. The bride, her dress and styling are one of the more popular frames to shoot on any wedding day. I wanted to subtract that and produce a shoot where it would be only about that. The bride in a setting where the focus is only about her, her dress and those moments.
Before moving full speed ahead, I wanted to work with another photographer, someone who was more versed in weddings than I was. I reached out to Kirth Bobb, a DC-based wedding and portrait photographer. We were already close friends and colleagues, and when I explained my vision, he was immediately excited about the idea. We talked about the setup once we arranged travel dates for Kirth to come to the Bahamas.
We partnered with bridal boutique Five Seasons Bridal, who provided us with a plethora of dresses to choose from. We were even allowed to visit the bridal salon and pick out the dresses ourselves! Of course, we couldn’t fit dresses without selecting models. Kirth and I agreed on using 4 diverse women and going through social media, we came up with a list of persons we would approach. After filtering through for weeks and seeing who might be interested, we confirmed 4 beautiful women. The excitement built even more!
We had our team, an MUA, Hair Stylist, Wardrobe Stylist and grips ready for shoot day where we’d utilize a gorgeous location in the Old Fort Bay Club. Our models, Yasmine, Analia, Mei-Lin and Sade, were the perfect fit, together and the dresses they fit before the photoshoot couldn’t have been chosen for more perfect muses. David Rolle, our stylist, worked together with the Five Season team to pull, cinch, tuck and tape the dresses to perfection.
We shot over one full day, using every corner and crevice of the property from the beach to the grand lawn, state and banquet rooms and everything in between.
