We’re brightening up your Wednesday with this loving couple who got married at the stunning Hacienda Itzincab de cámara in Mexico! From the very beginning, the couple knew that they wanted their wedding to be small, intimate and natural. With their green, white and beige colour scheme, they created a sweet romantic setting for their guests to enjoy, and wow did they certainly do so! Photographer Daniela Villarreal really captured this organic heaven in the most amazing way, but don’t just take our word for it…check out the full wedding below 😉
FROM THE PHOTOGRAPHER:
HOW THEY MET
Angie is from Venezuela and Horacio is from Mexico. She moved to Monterrey, Mexico to study at University. They meet at Angie’s best friend’s house and connected. After a week of conversing, Horacio invited Angie for dinner, and even though she wasn’t sure at first, she still decided to say yes.
WISH LIST FOR THE COUPLE
They wanted something natural and organic. I consider my style as a wedding photographer cinematic and authentic. I therefore chose to let them be who they are as a couple, so that they felt free. The end result was that those natural emotions came through in the pictures, and that’s what both the couple and I loved!
THE WEDDING VENUE
From the beginning they knew they wanted a small intimate wedding in a place that had to be memorable. They also wanted something that reflected their relaxed vibe as a couple and that was somewhere in between our hometowns. After looking at different places in Mexico they chose Mérida. Angie says that soon as they got there and entered the Itzincab Hacienda, they fell in love with the place and its relaxed and authentic vibe. ¨You could hear birds all around, the place had beautiful rooms for us and guests to stay, incredible gardens and trees. It was the perfect place to celebrate our wedding” says Angie.
THE WEDDING DRESS
They got engaged toward the end of December 2017 and she lived far away from her family, so on January the 2nd Angie made an appointment to try on some dresses so that they could be there with her. The dress is from Aire Barcelona, made with Mikado fabric and in a soft natural color. Before getting married she knew she wanted a very classic clean dress with no beading or lace whatsoever, It was the first dress she’d tried on!
Angie and Horacio wanted something 100% organic, using elements from the region such as marble and parota on the tables. Tropical flowers and incandescent lights were how they achieved that Eco-chic style for the event. The main colors were green, white and beige, together with the amber lighting. They decided to stick to something that would not take away attention from the beauty of the place while giving it a very relaxed and intimate atmosphere.
FAVOURITE MOMENTS FROM THE COUPLE’S DAY
My favorite moment was the getting ready part. Angie didn’t want Horacio to look at her before the ceremony. So it was even more special, lots of emotions from both families. What stood out the most was the atmosphere of the guests and bride and groom together. The reception was intimate but still fun and full of laughter.
