FROM THE COUPLE:
One of our friends introduced us by telling Michael to come on over to my store. We went on a two week trip to north central Italy and toward the end went to Venice. We went on a Gondola ride with an accordion player and opera singer. Half way through the ride he got on one knee and proposed.
THE THEME AND STYLE
I just wanted it to be classy and elegant!
THE WEDDING DECOR
No DIY. The space didn’t need much because it is a beautiful room on its own.
I loved the orchids and roses I had. My bouquet was beautiful.
It was an elopement so it was definitely personalized. My favourite part was the gold mirror aisle.
Michael went with a traditional tuxedo made by John Varvatos and a bigger bow tie by Tom Ford. My wedding dress and veil was designed by Ines Di Santo. I knew I wanted something Lacey but also with beading. My veil was pretty long and had matching detail on the end.
THE MOST ANTICIPATED MOMENT
Our vows were definitely the most special moment. We both put thought into what we wrote, writing them from the heart. I could not stop crying when we both were reading them.
ANY WEDDING PLANNING ADVICE FOR NEWLY-ENGAGED COUPLES?
I highly recommend eloping and just having a really small intimate wedding like we did. I enjoyed every moment and was not hassled by guests or other issues.
Special thanks to the sweet couple for sharing their luxurious elopement in Paris with us!
