It is always incredible when a wedding could take you so far away from your daily life, but yet make you feel right at home at the same time, and that’s exactly what Beatriz and Jonathan’s destination wedding did. This sweet couple with the help of their wedding planner Benjamin Baranas, managed to create an elegant yet simply designed soiree on one of the Caribbean’s most gorgeous islands, with nothing but love and charm, and we were sold.

Dive right into this beach inspired romance, and see how you CAN have a uniquely designed wedding that’s simply perfect for you.

We met and just knew that life would never be the same. We spied each other from across a crowded room, and simply fell in love. After our first kiss, I told her that we would be married within a year, and we were.”

“My proposal was simple, but yet classic. I knelt down, and asked the woman of my dreams to marry me, in front of her very tearful mother.”

As the couple’s decor theme was beach inspired, they decided against extravagant decor and instead opted for a natural look with rustic touches. With the sweetest white lanterns, sea shells, and natural greenery, Beatriz and Jonathan crafted a wedding weekend that showed off their style, love and grace.

The make-up and hair stylist behind Beatrice’s glow was Ms. Alana Higgs, and the designer of the gorgeously bold red wedding dress (which we will cherish forever) was Carlos Velasquez.

The pop of red in the bridesmaids’ bouquets were magical, and their grey dresses were so charming, that we definitely look forward to seeing more grey designs in 2017!

The ceremony was beautiful and intimate. Everything that the couple could have ever hoped for, and more.

“We decided to have a small intimate gathering of eighty people for our wedding. We always knew that we wanted to keep things simple, and so keeping it small was essential.”

How sweet is the bride in her blooming red dress?!

“My fondest memories were seeing the look of surprise on his face from the very sight of the red dress, and also when he became teary-eyed during the wedding vows. The moment was incredible.”

“My fondest memory was seeing my wife to be walk down the aisle in the most beautiful red dress that I had actually recommended for her.”

“When she accepted my proposal, I originally suggested red as her dress colour. From that second until I saw her at the ceremony she made it vehemently clear that by no way in hell would she ever agree to wearing a red dress. But, turns out it was an elaborate ruse to surprise me! She ended up being the most gorgeous bride ever in a locally custom-made red wedding dress, chosen just for me.”

The beautifully chosen wedding venue was La Bouganvillea Boutique Resort, who also provided catering and the bar services for the wedding.

The groom, in keeping with the natural fun feel of their beach themed wedding, wore black flip flops, while the bride wore the cutest flat shoes by Nine West.

The bride’s bouquet was so unique and inspiring, that we’re pretty certain it will go down as one of our top 10 bouquet’s for 2017! So dreamy…

The lovely day was captured by Adriana Weddings vendor Dede Brown Photography, whose artistry is genuinely mesmerising. She captured all the precious little moments of the couple and their guests on the day, and managed to tell such a darling story of their love, that we never wanted the album to end.

The intricate detail on this wedding cake by Pauline Johnson was everything! Take a closer look and be amazed at the beauty.

The sunset made the perfect backdrop on this special day. We absolutely adore sunset shots, and this why!

“Our absolute favourite shot from our special night was the image of Beatrice, her mother and me laughing at our table, because it captured our pure unedited happiness in that moment.”

“We had a cute dance choreographed for the wedding, and I also surprised both Moms by taking them on the dance floor to share a dance.”

“We also had a performance by my good friend Marvin who is an amazing sax player – he did both the “bridal procession” and also jumped in with the live singer Tebby later in the evening.”

Huge thanks to the darling couple Beatriz and Jonathan, and to Dede Brown Photography for sharing these drop dead gorgeous images with us!
